The UNR is in collaboration with various European Universities and international institutes as well as participating in running MSc Programme in Public Health Nutrition. More detailed information is at the Publication list.
The Unit for Nutrition Research (UNR) works in collaboration with other units within the Landspitali-University Hospital such as the Clinical Nutrition Department and Hringur Children´s Hospital. UNR is also in collaboration with institutes such as The Public Health Institute of Iceland, The Icelandic Heart Association, The Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority and Matis – Icelandic food research.
The IceProQualita study is an randomized intervention trial conducted in Iceland which investigates the effects of protein quality and quantity in combination with resistance exercise on muscle mass and – strength in elderly people. Partners in the project apart from the UNR are MS Iceland Dairies , the Department of Geriatrics, Landspitali-University Hospital and Department of Physio Therapy.
